Plot Information: 12/12/12 NORMPOCALYPSE NOW!

At 12:12am on 12/12/12 (That's shortly after midnight, going into Wednesday), Siren's Port is about to be struck by a disaster it is completely unprepared for.

All superpowers and special abilities will abruptly and without warning disappear, citywide, no exceptions. (If you have any questions about how this will work for your character, please ask here, otherwise use your best "powered-down" discretion.) Everyone, everywhere, will get to have a day of numbing normalcy.

Of course, as popular as the new hit tabletop roleplaying game "Nulls & Norms" has been this year, Siren's Port is completely unprepared to deal with an unpowered city. The people of Siren's Port have long prided themselves on being an eclectic bunch of supernatural diversity. Everyday, people rely on their special abilities as a source of income, as a habitual defense mechanism, as a way of life. Mass panic and hysteria is sure to ensue as the public finds itself suddenly "powerless".

Many will instinctively blame The Core, the source of usual haywire- though it's never quite betrayed the unusual citizens of Siren's Port this badly. A noonday march on the Sector 4 Baseball Diamond will break out the SPPD and AGI/SERO Special Unit Forces in full riot gear and tear gas, street violence getting ugly to break up the crowd and defend entry to the core.

So in addition to the riots and doomsayers in the streets, and special abilities sputtering out of their usefulness, you have these following normpocalyptic inconveniences to look forward to shortly:

All electric power grids in the city will be down from 12:12am until 10pm. Limited generator power will be available at City Hospitals, City Hall, and most commercial buildings in Sectors 1 & 2.

All running tap water will run dirty from Darkness pollutants in the morning, and continue to be untreated throughout the day. (Meaning, expect salty sea water from all faucets, sinks and showerheads!) Clean water will return on the morning of the 13th.

Public Transportation (City Buses & The Subway) are down for the count from 12:12am until 10pm. Traffic Lights are also out, so getting anywhere by car may prove hazardous.

The Underground Mall will run on a limited emergency generator until morning sirens on the 12th, then shut down for the remainder of the day and following evening.

Residential and Commercial darkness proofing which relies on additional powered shielding may fail.

The NetVice Newcomer Network will be up and running, under a few limitations:
- Open Network Text & Audio functions only. Holograms & Video are down.
- Private Contact Box messages will not be received until 9pm.
- Electronic NVs which haven't been recently charged may run out of battery power.

Hunker down and prepare for the worst!

Daedalus will NOT be on call at Skye Medical, but will have the clinic open for treating any minor injuries or physical concerns/medical issues related to a loss of powers. A long consultation day? Only if you guys give him some work!

And then it should be interesting getting home.

CIEL PHANTOMHIVE is going to be losing his contract with Sebastian. Meaning, hello normal eye! He's gonna be a bit manic because of this on the 12th.

SYRENA is going to turn into her human form! Meaning she's going to start drowning...Yeah. Tim is going to save her but if anyone wants to do anything later on with her let me know c: She'll probably end up staying on shore for a few days possibly after the 12th. Who knows!

NANA is going to have her Vectors cease to come out. She'll be out somewhere, probably at the park and pop! Off come her limbs. The plan is that she's going to end up picked up by some unsavoury individual and wind up as a test subject for SERO for a few days. Break is going to find her and eventually get her out, but if anyone wants to plot anything after, let me know! Either way, Uncle Raul is going to be very upset. :c

ASTRID is just...going to be her normal self. Lololol. Angry and as Viking as usual. Nothing weird going on with her here!

Funtom will be shut down for the day, so Gilbert will be at home making sure that everyone stays warm by the fire and rations out the clean water that they have stored. They definitely have enough for at least a day, and they always have baked goods and food, so if anyone needs warmth and food and a place to stay for the day, call him up before his NV battery dies. And he won't have his Chain, so he won't be going out into the darkness for anything if he can help it. Though of course if something goes down, he'll be game.

Pino will be staying home as well if Raul tells her to, but her battery will probably die part way through the day. :|b

In the midst of all this chaos, certain SERO labs will seize this opportunity to detain certain persons of interest, on the pretext of "helping them cope with their power loss, and investigate the reasons for it." Nana is going to get caught up in this, but there is certainly the opportunity for others to be "guests" of the SERO corporation.

Aoko will most likely make a fussbudget post about this is what it's like not to have powers, and how do you like that, world? While holing up somewhere completely freaked out because she doesn't have her own.

PLOT THINGS TT stuff, community center stuff, other stuff

I'm looking at all you Teen Titan people, guess what? Anyone here ever read No Man's Land, a story arc within the DC universe? To summarize it quickly, Gotham gets quarantined, and everything goes to hell, much like what's happening in SP with all of this craziness. Which means all superhero people on deck! You and your partner will be sent somewhere to help keep order in any way possible. Prepare to probably be injured because of riot stuff, and... well, no powers, so you do what you have to do. For this, just find someone in the group that you'd like to work with? And everyone will be stationed in sectors 2, 4, 9, 8, and 6. Try to spread yourselves out, terrible things are happening everywhere, not just at the baseball diamond. And look, perfect time for a Titan communicator log! The TT comms will still be working since they're not connected to any system except the one Tim built, which does not use any powers, so I'll put that log up for that.

THAT BEING SAID Tim Drake is going to be flying around As Red Robin from sector to sector checking in on everyone, definitely helping the police, most definitely getting hurt but that's standard, if anyone wants to partner up with him for parts of the day? Probably going to have him get something broken, but that one is kind of up in the air.

Raul Creed is going to be at the Newcomer Community Center, which is going to be a "safe" zone, by which I mean we could use a lot of people to come help defend it? And there'll be a lot of not used to being powerless and injured people, since it's connected to the clinic. And personally, Raul is going to be FREAKING OUT because Pino is going to shut down, and can't find Nana, and just be prepared for things to go terribly in the following few days.

Mr. Gold thinks you all are funny, he went through 28 years without his magic, he can do it again for a few days. Just gonna in his apartment and watch the world burn riots out the window.

Dr. Tenma is also used to no powers but he'll be at SP General, freaking out and probably going on the network to see if any medical people can come and help. Or even someone with first aid training, anything.

Rorschach is going to have A BLAST with the riot, he's really not going to discriminate who he's kicking in the face if he sees a regular person and a police officer both using brutality. Because what better way to stop brutality but with more brutality?

Re-l will feel like a NORMAL GIRL for the first time in two years and will have no idea how to cope with this what the hell. Suddenly no healing and no powers and oh that's bad. She'll be out in the thick of things, forgetting that she actually has to worry about herself, and will probably get her ass kicked. Open for interactions with this, etc.

Dani will be feeling pretty strange too without her Angelus powers but she's been normal before. I think she'd want to help out but she might not, if only because it would end REALLY BADLY if she did.
