OH GOSH THIS IS A BILLION YEARS LATE I'M SORRYYYYYY I needed time to think about this properly because wow this is going to be a doozy. Unlike pretty much anyone else in the game Eraqus is one of the few people that Xehanort actually has feelings about because he's known Eraqus for longer than the handful of years that pretty much everyone else has been allotted at the end of his life.

The main thing is that once upon a time Xehanort genuinely liked Eraqus. The whole brothers thing wasn't simply just name, it was a real and actual bond that he did treasure, even if he was a curious and ambitious sonofabitch who got into more trouble than he should have. It was only after he started down the slippery slope of his own determination that things started to change... and who else would he have gone to but his dear brother with his thoughts and ideas? Not your concern indeed, when rather than the support he was hoping for he instead got anger. Those scars were the beginning of the end... as he could no longer count Eraqus as an ally or a true friend. Eraqus, the one person he perhaps would have trusted or thought might stand with him, had chosen the path of ignorance. Hurtful indeed, although at that point it was perhaps a foregone conclusion. While Eraqus may be willing to try to reach out in the Port, consider that to have been Xehanort's attempt... and when his hand was slapped away, he simply turned the dog out to the yard and locked the door behind it.

Xehanort's not the sort to completely burn a bridge when someone might be useful... so of course, when he needed someone bright with light, where else would he turn? Of course, some fancy lies were necessary to smooth things over... but by then, everything was for the Plan. Sorry, Eraqus. It all went downhill from there quite quickly, especially when he realized that Eraqus was harbouring the perfect vessel. From there, Eraqus became a tool, whose use culminated in attacking Ven and then dying in order to push Terra over the edge. Sadly, there was no remorse or regret... it was all a necessity.

With Eraqus back? Xehanort already expects the lightbearers to be a tightly-knit group for their own perceived protection, so it wouldn't surprise him for Eraqus to go mother bear over them. For the most part he's content to leave them alone, and let them mire themselves in back-patting over the details of things that his two halves have done in the future. As long as Eraqus doesn't involve himself in Xehanort's affairs, there's little reason for Xehanort to have any issue with Eraqus' existence in the Port at all. Will he have feelings on the matter? Not likely. Unless somehow Eraqus changes his mind... which he knows Eraqus is not likely to do.

In a given confrontation he will be quite polite and put on the proper airs. If it comes out that Eraqus knows what transpired (i.e. canon point post death), then he has little reason to hide anything. As long as politics doesn't come up, things should be relatively civil between them... after all, as he's not questing after Terra for a vessel, he has little reason to cause any sort of trouble as far as Eraqus is concerned. If politics does come up, however... well, that would have to be handled as it came. Would he use Eraqus again? Oh, definitely. Would he kill Eraqus? If there was a reason... he's not a murderer, contrary to what people think.

Ultimately, he's okay with his litttle bro being around and they could probably talk about things without too much trouble. Just don't expect miracles, Eraqus. Not unless somehow you have all the answers he's looking for... somewhere, under all the needs and wants and motivation is that old, faint spark of light that still considers Eraqus his baby bro... but it's so far gone that it will most likely never see the light of day ever again. Not unless something drastic happens to change him or satisfy his need to know.
