New Mod Announcement / Wacky Weather
Hi guys, some quick announcements:
- Application Cycle opens @ Midnight PST tonight!
Looking at our reserves page, we'll have plenty of app spots open this cycle, so now the time to start getting characters you've been thinking about giving a try ready, and letting your friends know about Siren's Pull.app_this_plz went up this evening, so keep your eyes open and search out some good characters for us!
Remember, we love seeing original ideas for plotting and play, so if you have any unique things in mind for your incoming characters, especially any specific ways you'd like to incorporate them into the city, and want to give your app some added punch, please don't neglect the Character Plans section!
- We're adding a new face to mod team!
(Okay, maybe not so new.) You may already know RW, (aka: ReadingWhiz89 or![[plurk.com profile]](https://plurk.com/favicon.ico)
arrdubz) as the player behind Aslan, Xigbar, Livio, Proxy One and Deathstroke the Terminator. She is fond of milk and cookies, cats and dogs, eyepatches, and other miscellaneous silliness.
We're happy to welcome her on board to help keep the game running, lines of player/mod communication open, and new ideas flowing. Her duties will include application processing, coordinating and acting as a liason for small-scale plots, contributing to the newsfeeds, surprising the playerbase with minor events, and other general support.
RW is also the terrifying terminator who runs the Bounty Hunting System, so all questions related to said system can be answered by her.

SKITTLES! SKITTLES FALLING EVERYWHERE! TASTE THE RAINBOW!!! (no really.)
MINI-EVENT FOR SUNDAY (Also Canada Day, Happy Canada Day!)- Rainbow & candy showers.
Starting tomorrow morning, July 1st, at about 7 AM, it's going to start drizzling. Wide bands of brilliant color arc across the sky, all the way across the island. At 9am, a thunderclap loud enough to rattle the proofing loose on old windows (reseal your windows, or you're in for a rough night!) will 'shatter' the rainbow, depositing a rain of small, round, fruit-flavored candy all across the city! Those of you brave enough to try some will experience a few changes, most of them paired with strange, intense cravings.
Be careful: the effects overlap.
(Lime) Green - Congratulations, you now have a full head of green hair! Even if you were bald! The only way to be rid of it is to relieve that strange urge you have to hug the nearest tree. Get your eco-freak on.
(Lemon) Yellow - Well, sunshine, looks like that there's more than one thing glowing today. Your eyes seem to be simply crackling with energy and so are you! Better watch that attitude, though. Sounds like someone's a sour puss today.
(Orange) Orange - So, you're really, really thirsty. The kind of thirsty where you might just kick a kitten to get what you want. And what you want...is ORANGE JUICE. Nothing more or less will soothe that orange tongue.
(Grape) Purple - You know all those really high-sodium, salty snacks they are so bad for you? You want them. And you want them yesterday. You better get them, too, or those purple lips of yours won't go back to normal.
(Strawberry) Red - You've got a sunburn on your cheeks, and they're redder than rosy oughta be. The cure? You need to find that One Special Person who means the world to you. It could be your best friend, arch nemesis, or lover -- but you have to see them. Right Now.
The candies will be out on the street for about a day or so, before melting and becoming a general mishmash of color and sugar on the pavement, so watch your step!
