August Activity Check Results
Characters on this list have not posted to the Activity Check for August. If your character's name is on this list, you have until Midnight, Tuesday, August 28th, Pacific time to make a comment here, send a PM to the mod journal or comment on the AC post with a link to your characters' activity. Characters who have not checked in will be deleted from the taken page on Wednesday, August 29th.
If anyone on this list is still listed as on hiatus, dropped, or if there are any other concerns, please leave a comment here so we can get it corrected. If you were on hiatus for AC week, please link to your post on the hiatus page.
Reminder! You are NOT excused from activity check if:
A. You call a "retroactive" hiatus.
B. Your hiatus is taken explicitly during AC (from the 15th to the 21st-ish).
C. You come back from hiatus in the middle of AC, OR go on hiatus midway through AC and still do not check in.
The mod team does keep track of people who are consistently on hiatus during AC week or who are not consistently checking at all. Please keep in mind: this is taken into account when you app new characters. We want you to prove you can keep up with the characters you have before you go for more.
We do not check the OOC comm for drops and hiatuses! If you are going to go on hiatus or drop a character, PLEASE make a post on the official drop/hiatus list, or else we will miss it. Please remember! We don't like making mistakes or having people on this list that don't need to be. It's not fun for us to do the extra work, and it's not fun for the people who end up here by mistake.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THIS MONTH, PLEASE READ:
This month, I had a lot of people either return from hiatus or go on hiatus in the middle of AC week who didn't check in. They are all included on this list. You are not excused if you were only gone for part of the week. I've been pretty lenient on this in the past, but it's getting to be a real problem when I'm waffling on 15-20 characters each month and whether or not they should be excused. Remember, AC is the same time every month. Please make an effort to post your activity whenever you can from the 15th-21st. I am usually even a few days late in making the list! There really isn't any excuse not to.
Also remember that I consider who is and who isn't on hiatus based on what you post on the hiatus page. If you claim you're going to be back by the the 14th, I am going to assume you are back when you do not post to AC by the 21st. That happened to quite a few people this month! Feel free to go back and make changes/additions to your post on the hiatus page if circumstances change. If you are away and unable to do it, it's all right to have a friend make the note for you. Just let me know that you are still gone!
MEAN, NASTY MOD MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH: I am keeping a running list of approximately 3-4 characters who are consistently missing AC and then rushing in on the results page to reclaim their characters. I'm talking like, 5 or more times this year. These characters have various levels of activity around the game, but I only know that through investigating them because I am seeing their names every month.
I'm not going to list them here, because I think you know who you are. Please stop it. Please be fair and check in with everyone else every month. If it happens again, I will be getting in touch with you to have a chat.
Of course, RL > RP, and in the instance of truly catastrophic personal circumstances I am usually very generous. I have a life too, I understand if RP isn't your top priority! If you have something going on that makes it difficult or impossible to make AC during a month, or if you find yourself needing to take a very long hiatus (1-2 months or more) please let me know. It's impossible for me to tell the difference between someone stranded on a deserted island or someone who just lost interest in the game, or someone who's constantly busy with work and someone who is trying to cheat the system. My contact details are listed on the mod page, and I list them in this post every month.
