OKAY NO SO he's definitely one of her closest friends here at this point, and a lot of that is who he is - he's friendly and hardworking and helpful, cares about his friends, which are all things she admires, respects, and likes. Another thing that's important to her is that somehow, he seems completely dependable in that she honestly can't imagine him going home. Part of that is admittedly illogical, because she's known people that died back home who have left the Port too, but ~*~hope~*~

She doesn't know him as well as some of her other friends, but he seems like a really nice person to her so far! He definitely gets respect from her for being on the Titans, and she wishes she could have done more about most of his friends leaving.

HERE WE GO

She loves him. Even if she'll always be a little flustered at the idea of dating and romance, that's really the only way to describe it. Even then, it's not remotely the same way she loved Mytho, where she idolized him and never really considered herself his equal. With Fakir, there's a much deeper mutual trust. In some ways, it's actually the opposite of the way she felt about Mytho, who made her feel insecure by being (what she interpreted as) so perfect. Instead of making her feel insecure or out of place, though, Fakir is the person who makes her feel most stable, most at home.

He's the person who first made her realize that it's a good thing to feel confident, and she shouldn't be ashamed of who she is. He's the person who made her realize she could protect people, too, in her own way. He's the person who made her realize she didn't have to bow down to fate. More than anything, he's the person who made her a stronger person overall.

But even though she thinks he's amazingly strong and brave, she still worries about losing about him, especially in a place like this. She knows he can be easily angered, and he gets into fights with people, even though he had given that up for the most part. Even without those qualities, though, she's seen completely undeserving people get hurt or killed just because that's how this world is, and she's terrified of the same thing happening to him someday.

Worries about this world aside, though, since he came here, it's like the final piece in her puzzle. Before, she would have been alright with staying here the rest of her life if she could just see him again and know that things are alright - and now she does know they're alright, but instead of seeing him briefly one last time, she has him here for however long the Core decides to keep him around. Selfishly, she hopes it's a long time; maybe if she can gain the courage to tell him how she feels someday, they'll have a chance at something important here.

Conflicted feelings on this one! She has trouble seeing her just as a friend, since the Franziska she knew better was a older girl she looked up to tremendously. She can see a lot of the same traits in this Franziska, of course, though she seems altogether more accepting of friendship (which is a plus in her book, of naturally!). Still, on her own, she thinks this Franziska is pretty nice and a good friend, despite not being as close with her.

Yes, Ahiru, this is Franziska before she got all defensive and jaded. Isn't it lovely? A bit saddening? WE DEFS should do more with them.

Kinda creepy (it probably has to do with the screw), but this isn't really founded, so she tries to ignore it! After all, he did give Gilbert medicine, which she appreciates, and he is a doctor, which she respects.

/also good at tl;dr

Some things need to be asked.

First off, she can't deny she adores him. Maybe that's why she's so willing to overlook their differences in opinion, because she really and truly believes he's a good person deep down despite it all. He's supportive and warm and he feels like family to her, as well, even if she hasn't identified that feeling as strongly as she has with others.

That doesn't mean he doesn't worry her, though - it feels like half the times they talk, she's nervous he's going to do something to get himself hurt or hurt someone else. He has challenged her values a bit, but at her core, she's a really peaceful person, and I don't think she'll ever condone the things he's told her he considers necessary at times.
