That being said, Raul would really want to sleep with Vesper, multiple times, and the only thing that's stopping him from doing that is the fact that he kind of hired her and is still a little unsure of where the boundaries lie with that. He really does try not to sleep with the people he works with (the other Romdeau citizens don't count), and it's a little iffy if he actually works with Vesper, or if he can get away with it. Iffy in his mind, I should say, he's really very torn about it.
Besides the sleeping with her part, though, he really does respect her. She's smart, and she's sexy, and she's classy, and Raul responds well to class, since not everyone has it. He really does appreciate her input when she gives it, and really, the biggest reason why he gave her the job is because he knows that out of everyone, she could do it the best, even though she hasn't been in the port as long as others. She's competent, and organized, which is a big deal for him, and I assume that they work together often, or when he's at his office at the NCC. The biggest thing that Raul thinks about her is that he really does feel like he can trust her. She has the same sort of dry humor that he has, and while he's never going to be the kind of guy who opens himself up like that and reveals everything about him, he feels really laid back in her company. Like he can be honest about some of his opinions without her judging him too harshly on them. He genuinely likes her, and likes her company, and is glad she's around.
And he'd like to take her on a date. Or get drinks together. Something just the two of them, maybe sharing a bottle or two of wine in the office after hours.
