stating the obvious here, but he hates seeing her in danger. if it weren't for the monsters and conspiracies and whatever's going on, he'd probably be pretty happy staying here with human Ahiru or anywhere with her! as it is he sees this place like Drosselmeyer's gearworld: he wants to get her out, he just wants her to be safe. even though he totally knows he's kinda a failure at protecting her and she is more than capable of taking care of herself! it's still something he beats himself up over.

after the first week of GOTTA WRITE US OUT!!! and failing, talking with her about the future helped a lot, because he never wants to see her down about herself and it reminds him to just trust her. he won't stop worrying but he'll be a little less on edge.

... and yeah he's in love with her, but he knows how much she loves Mytho and he's happy just staying by her side. it's never going to be something he brings up, whoops.

YOU HAVE THE WRONG IDEA I TELL YOU. apart from that, neutral! he might take note of Iroh as being a decent source of information, but... it might not be worth the trouble of getting to know him better, haha.

however I'd love to thread more with Iroh! now that I think of it Fakir and Zuko can be a little similar and Fakir would eventually miss his own father/uncle figure too 8)

Of course, Iroh falls pretty naturally into the mentor category. Its hard to resist his old man charms. He grows on you. If you ever want to do some training he helps out a dojo along with Copy Riku (Joe Fieldman).

he stopped swordfighting a while ago but will probably pick it back up in the city so YES SURE that sounds like a plan!

Iroh is pretty proficient in most melee weapons, so that is quite doable. He doesn't particularly consider himself the best swordsman around, but he can use one and in battle conditions. Heh, I am just picturing the sheer surprise from Fakir of just how badass Iroh is, he's been keeping up with his training regimen in the port.
