Vanitas genuinely does not understand Ahiru.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay back when, during that little incident with the cherry blossoms, Ahiru was pretty much the first and only person aside from Terra who thought that Vanitas being nice somehow was a totally rad and plausible development and they should all be best friends forever and friendship bracelets. And, as someone who only has a second-hand, very vague understanding of friendship, Vanitas did not even know what the fuck.

He also thinks she's stupid, and very easy to upset and/or infuriate. And maybe it's that stupidity that makes her continue to converse with him, even when nine times out of ten a conversation with Vanitas ends in her being threatened or just plain annoyed in some way. Honestly, the fact that they keep conversing at all is baffling to Vanitas. But he honestly doesn't mind all that much, it's mostly just entertainment to him.

And if he understood what being endearing means, he would think that she is, in the stupid way that she is.

Also her brethren goes good on toast.
