Oh, Maker. He's regretting not taking Anders up on shagging now that the situation's changed! He's ridiculously fond of Anders, though since he's begun to evaluate the way he's looked at his own life (and is falling for his Warden just a teensy bit), Anders actually makes him a little uncomfortable too. There's this gigantic unacknowledged pool of 'actually the way our lives were going wasn't working before we met the Warden' between them. And he enjoys Anders's company.

There's a bit of cut dialogue where hardened Leliana calls Zevran on his flirting and says, "Well, let's see your dick!" more or less. And I think it shows that Zevran actually isn't as totally smooth as he acts. From the canonpoint I've taken him he's still pretty raw about Rinna. He feels a bit awkwardly embarrassed that he doesn't just sleep with Anders, but he doesn't want Anders to dismiss him as another lover. Also, even if it isn't this Anders, there's the whole thing about Hawke and his big sword too.

He definitely relates to Anders's nature and yes, he's sympathetic to the plight of mages.

Anders is probably the closest thing he has to a fashion consultant, too.

And Anders always wondered why Zevran didn't just sleep with him either. :| LOOK AT THEM BOTH, CLEARLY IT WOULD BE SO HOT HE'D BE JEALOUS OF HIMSELF or something to that effect anyway. But their talk where Zevran explained it more did really effect him, and in a good way. It made Anders start to think that, hey, maybe here at least he could... get some less physical relationships??

...and now Hawke's come along and everything is complicated and this should really be in my answer to you oops can I blame the fact it's late??
