Kurt and Blaine's Wedding -- OOC Info/Plotting Post
Hello my friends! Time has come for the wedding! Invites have been sent out to IC contact posts. If you have not received one but feel that your character should be invited let me know! I put together the guest list from the Taken Character List so it's possible I missed someone.
Inside the cut you'll see the details about the ceremony and reception. While wedding crashing is not likely for the ceremony, crashing the reception is possible and encouraged! :D The more the merrier! This is just an OOC post to give everyone a heads up and to sort out any OOC questions. You can also use this as a general plotting post if need be. The event post will be put up on the logs com on the 22nd.
Blaine and Kurt are getting married!
As the invitation states, the wedding ceremony is gong to take place at Crow's Head Beach. The actual guest list for the wedding stands at around 40 people. The wedding party will be made up of Ahiru and Franz on Kurt's side and Tim and Daedalus on Blaine's side.
The ceremony itself will consist of two parts, a unity ceremony and exchanging of the vows. The unity ceremony will be performed by Iroh. He's going to do a little tea ceremony for the couple. After that they'll exchange vows. There is likely also going to be singing. For an example of a Glee wedding check out this video. While the kids aren't expecting their wedding party to dance like this, music is going to be incorporated into the ceremony.
After their vows are exchanged and they're re-introduced by the officiant as husband and husband the whole event will be moved to the Lux.
There will be a very tasty but completely vegetarian dinner--the maid of honor is a duck after all--and there will be a bar the characters can use. Cake will also be happening here and more singing. Lots of singing.
Eventually Kurt and Blaine are going to head out to make their way to a hotel room while it's still safe to travel, but the party can keep going without them.
The post I'll be making will be a standard party post, pretty similar to what happened when Gabriel and Jinx were married. There will be some closed threads for Kurt and Blaine and some open ones that take place during the ceremony and during the reception. If there are any scenes you'd like to play out with Kurt or Blaine let us know, otherwise let your characters get drunk and enjoy themselves!
