Jesse can do very little in terms of fighting, so he'll flee. But before he flees, he'll be handing out superpowers to anyone who's staying, so comment here if you want to play out or handwave getting powers from him. Once his inventory's emptied, he'll be entering the portal - hopefully with his loved ones.
