Scum and Villainy Network

So, with that tasteful introduction, I'd like to take a moment to bring up something! The idea of a Villain Network was brought up a long time ago, but we recently brought it up again on the last plotting meme. I asked for a show of hands then, and we got a few people, and I just wanted to see who else might be interested in this? I've got a few handy facts here:
1. Right now we're looking for villain people, not really people who will be double agents. In the future we'll definitely want those! But we need to get set up first, so if you think you'd like to be one in the future, speak up. We just might not do that stuff for a little bit.
2. While there won't be a formal "leader", their will probably be some people who are higher up in the food chain then others. That doesn't mean your character is not as important, of course! But in any good mafia, there's always someone higher then you.
3. This is what brings up the actual contract part. Mr. Gold here is pretty big on contracts and deals, and he's not going to just let someone work with him without some kind of insurance. So, you're all going to have to sign a contract with him, if you do decide to work with the group. The contract pretty much states "Don't tell on us, or something will happen". The way that Mr. Gold operates is that when he makes a deal with someone, if they break the contract, then he does something that will hurt them, or their loved ones, or anything like that. He usually takes whatever is dearest to you, or hurts it in some way. And Mr. Gold is good at knowing what your "precious" thing is, even if you try to hide it.
4. The contracts do not say you need to pledge loyalty to any one person or group! Just that you can't rat them out to the police or the so called "good" guys.
5. When it comes to the group, it's not really the kind of group that goes out and does things together. It's more like a network of people that scratches each others' backs from time to time. For an example, Mr. Gold and Xigbar both helped to find Newcomer names to give to Spencer for the Newcomer Hunt, instead of never talking to each other.
Basically, this is a call to see who else out there might want in! Mr. Gold will be making a post early this week and try to say a few things that might give the right people to notice it. If anyone has some ideas they might want to throw around, I know there've been places mentioned to have a sort of "meet and greet" thing! And if your character does want to join, I'd like to get an idea of what Mr. Gold might consider to go after if they double-cross them.
Real things, please! Obviously if your character says they love vegetables, Mr. Gold will know that's some BS. The whole point of these contracts is to possibly lose something your character CANNOT live without, not something they can muddle through somehow. More information here for the types of deals Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin makes!
So, yes! Ideas, comments, signups? You can comment here, or PM this journal, or email/AIM. I ask you not to use plurk unless it's a specific thing to me and not an idea for the group, if only because not everyone has plurk, and it does tend to hide stuff! Thank you.
On an completely unrelated note, when I uploaded this picture onto tinypic, the recaptcha that I had to reply to was "Snow Shovel". In case anyone also gets the reference.

He'd also be glad to assist with enforcing bad things happening to traitors, and to host the meet and greet at the Uzushio.

Honestly, the most effective way of making him miserable would be to make someone who was overwhelmingly positive and compassionate unkillable and compelled to follow Phibrizzo everywhere he went.
Loss would be less effective than gaining something that will weaken him and make him feel sick all the time.
If it has to be loss, he's rather proud of his hellhound puppy and likes it more than he likes most people.

Alternately, Mr. Gold could tank the Seyrunn Shop of Sorcery as punishment. It wouldn't be as troubling to Phibrizzo as messing with his hellhound, but it is a personal project he's invested time, money, and magic into.

But yeah, Sark's primary goals are to keep himself in good with the companies, likely doing the city's version of gunrunning and illicit trade with one or the other or both and not really making mention of the fact that he's playing both. Hell, if Newcomers pay enough, he'd probably be willing to sell out AGI and SERO for a sweet profit, since his loyalty is pretty much limited to... well, Mr. Gold right now- he's the only person in the city he'll defer to right now.
ALSO.... Meowth is sort of getting tangled in this crap due to his screwing up what Black Mask left him and getting into deep crap with Xellos, so he's gonna be stuck as a lackey/goon/completely useless whatever for this lot, because THAT'S HIS LIFE.

Oh, Meowth. You will be an interesting one to observe.

Plus, Jesse has a lot to offer. Considering he can completely strip anyone of their power. And give it away.
As far as his contract, Mr. Gold already has a lot to hold over him. Like, um, their entire power-trading business. But more personally, there's Lisbeth. And even more personally, there's Mr. White.

He'll have to meet Mr. White at some point. Just because, he wants to know the man who Jesse... not even sure the right word for it.

He's worked with Mr. Gold before, and he has connections in AGI.
I think we discussed the possibility of hosting a party at the Uzushio, and then having an after-party for some villains. Perhaps an anonymous text to select people inviting them to such an event could help bring everyone together?

But yes, Tonegawa would be all over this. He's very used to having a pack to back up up on his dickery and is already working with AGI. As for what would be damaged if he broke contract- his career and money, for sure.
no subject
Peeeerfect. Tenegawa is going to be a great addition, he's already got some good contacts? Plus money. Mr. Gold will half want him to break it, just so he can take all his shit.

Eponine isn't a villain by any stretch of the imagination - but she is in with a bad crowd, and generally useful for contacts in the underworld. She'd be easily convinced to help Mr. Gold out now - especially after he gave her so much money. And especially if he promised her more money - or a way of earning a lot without having to sell her body.
Her bond? Money, definitely. Eponine lives to be rich. Losing her money would destroy her completely. And maybe even just support - Eponine needs friends like Mr. Gold who make a show of supporting her and giving her protection; so somehow stigmatising her would destroy her.
