Ah, Ahiru. You are a very sweet natured young lady, and you always strive to make others feel better. You are like family to me, similar to a niece, though much nicer then Azula. John will always have this weird separate place in his heart for Ellen. Before Bill died she was one of his best friends and someone he could always count on to keep him in his place. After he got her husband killed, it got overshadowed by pity, and he knew she didn't need or want it at all. At this point, he wants to pretend what happened between them never happened and start with a blank slate, but now that Jo's here he knows it'll never happen. Still, it's comforting to know that they still have that same give and take they had before things went sour.

He's a bit amused- it's like seeing the whole of someone with their fate laid out before them, and knowing what they will become. It's fun to see younger Franziska so scandalized at some of the values she'd hold as an older person, to see the extreme and unjaded adherence to justice. She's still the same woman, confidence-wise. He's very reminded of Re-l, at her age.

Daedalus is sort of given to be doting and indulgent, though he realizes he'll have to do this extremely carefully, because Franziska's very likely to take offense at that sort of thing. He's even a little worried for her, now that he's gotten to know her father a little better.

She thinks Joe is really cute and nice kid - sadly, they may be roughly the same age bracket but she will always look at him younger than her simply she seen things that made her grow up quickly and make her feel a little old. She doesn't see him as a younger brother, but she can she herself acting as an older sister type of person to Joe.

I'm not sure if she's aware of his crush because she's always skidaddling to vampire clubs for a little draining. Oops.

Mercy honestly reminds him of some women hunters he know back home. She doesn't take sexist bullshit in a male dominated profession and kicks ass at it too, which he respects and kind of loves to watch. She also respects his privacy, unlike people he's worked with in the past, so that's a huge plus in his "she's pretty good" book

Plus she gave him a job so that's pretty cool.

Nill has... slightly complicated feelings when it comes to Lisbeth. For the most part, Nill likes to think she's gotten away pretty well with not making people into "replacements" for the people she had in her own world, but she can't help but be reminded of Naoto (a sword-wielding badass and friend) despite not seeing her in any way, shape or form for almost four years. There isn't a great deal of resemblance, mind you-- just that they both have dark hair, both are fairly straight-forward and don't take anyone's shit, and both are fully capable of taking care of themselves. She also reminds her a little of Shikamaru, who was essentially the platonic love of Nill's life, which just makes her want to spend more time with her. Nill would be so happy to just sit quietly in a room with Lisbeth while Lisbeth smokes because she misses being able to do that like you wouldn't believe.

That said though, Nill would probably never tell Naoto some of the stuff she's told Lisbeth, and that may be because she doesn't hold Lisbeth as being close enough not to tell her things yet. She likes Lisbeth a lot, but Nill is also keeping her at a distance, because she's keeping everyone at a distance these days. At the same time though, she really wants to be friends with Lisbeth, and she's a little worried that if she finds out about her (so far minor) manipulation of Jesse that it'll ruin that. Not worried enough to actually stop, but still worried.

It's also a good possibility that she's telling her things because she reminds her a little of Shikamaru and because Nill misses him so much.

Wow this is really all over the place. OKAY THOSE FEELINGS ARE A LITTLE MORE THAN SLIGHTLY COMPLICATED.
