Welcome to Dreamwidth's first plotting meme!

1. Post a comment detailing your characters, what kind of plot they have going on, what kind of plot you'd like others to be involved in. If you're looking for new types of CR, post up what kind you'd be interested in?

2. Look at other player's posts, and offer your characters up for CR and involvement in plots you're interested in.

Game Calendar:
This is tentative game plot calendar for the month of FEBRUARY. If you have a plot in the works that you want to bring up now, so everyone can be involved, please mention it below.

If you're plotting ahead for something which will affect a significant number of people, like breaking a sewer main in a Sector, shutting down a frequented location, causing a lot of widespread status effects etc, please let us know early so we can give everyone a quick rundown idea of what's going on when. This is also to help keep from too many plots from stacking up on top of each other.

How To Fill It Out

Newcomer Community Center Classes

The Newcomer Community Center is going to start to hold classes. These will not take the place of a formal education and they will be non-paying. These are simply classes to teach people new things in the Port like sewing, cooking, Law 101, how to adapt to modern society, tutoring, Sex Ed, First Aid, CPR, etc.

If anyone is interested and has a subject and character they'd like to offer, comment here to let me know.

If all works out well, this will go live sometime in February after I make another post about it. We can do a monthly log for anyone who's interested, if that works out best, and people can do logs at any other time as well if they're teaching or wanting to learn.

Previous sign-ups are here for reference, but feel free to sign up here or let me know if you're interested. I'd like for people to teach a MAXIMUM of 2-3 classes because I don't want everything to be taken, since some people are more qualified for certain subjects than others.

Well! Edgeworth would be happy to teach law classes, though he wouldn't want to step on Franziska's toes - they could share duties, perhaps, if Tash was down with that, with one of them perhaps teaching more how to deal with the law/how not to get in trouble while the other taught how to actually work in the law?

I WAS ALSO THINKING they might hold a panel every few weeks that people are encouraged to intend - basically, how to deal with the companies! Basically, avoiding being taken in and put towards AGI or SERO's nefarious ends. So it could be a cross-disciplinary talk - anyone who's willing who's been taken prisoner by one of the companies could talk about their experience; the law-types could talk about what rights you do and do not have in that situation; soldier-types could discuss techniques for resisting interrogation to avoid saying something incriminating; there could be agreed-upon signals to coordinate assistance, etc.

I like this idea of yours and I would definitely have my character attend in one form or another.

I like this idea but I think it would have to be very carefully done because the NCC is a very public building and is very liable to be spied on. The companies could very well drop in on them at some point, etc.

But otherwise, I really like the idea!

Just putting a note in here that Tenma and Snake will be teaching the Sex Ed class! And it will be awesome.

Just re-affirming my earlier commitment for Survival Skills and Intro-to-Vampires classes. I'm fully willing to share the duties with other players if they want to co-teach a class, too, as it's good potential for long-term CR building.

Lee's volunteering to teach intro to tech classes alternating with Bruce (as said in the last round of sign-ups). But aside from that, he can also offer basic electrical repair workshops :D

Groundhog Day Plot - Fighting Tournament & Betting

On the first day of the time warp plot, a big tournament is going to be held at Knot-a-Fight Club for locals/natives and members only. Some guy named Louis Wales is going to win...and then time is going to reset itself! And so for the duration of the plot, the same fight is going to happen, over and over again, until everything rights itself.

Why does this matter to any of you? Well, it doesn't...unless you're the gambling type looking to make a quick buck.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that this fight can be rigged so someone else can win. With some underdog fighting and winning, your character can make a lot of money. The only problem is that this is going to happen several times, so your character (if participating) has a few options:

1. Bet on Louis Wales and let him win.
2. Rig the fight and get someone else to win and bet on them instead.
3. Do some other crazy scheme to get the fight fixed.

On the final day of the plot, someone is going to win, but whether it's Louis Wales or someone else is up to YOU.

If someone is interested in gambling for some money, rigging the fight, or being the fighter that goes up against him, here's your chance to sign up! We'll figure out amongst ourselves who is going to win and who is going to go home with a lot of cash in their pockets.

I'm not sure Kaiji has the power to rig the fight on his own but he'd definitely try and take advantage of the repeating days to make some good money. He'll probably observe for the first day or two and make a move on the third and/or fourth.

SO. If anyone's interested in working with him to try and throw the fight or if anyone's planning on doing the same on their own so they'll be working against each other, I'm open. I'm really not set on Kaiji winning anything, to be honest- ideally, he'd trip at the last hurdle- but if anyone has any ideas, go for it.

Groundhog Day - alerts and think tank stuff

The House is going to know immediately that stuff is wrong, because it monitors things like planetary rotation that are getting reset. If your character has CR with the House and you do (OR DON'T) want it to let them know something freaky is happening at midnight, let me know!

The House is probably/possibly hosting the think tank log, unless someone else really wants to. I'm...honestly not sure what details need to be worked out here, but if you have any concerns/preferences/stuff, let me know!

Aurican will attend as Eurig, as he currently lives there. Not sure if he really knowledgeable with such subject matters, but he is very wise and intelligent, so he might provide some kind of input.

Day at the Museam (Feb 20th)

Daedalus Yumeno takes Haruhi Suzumiya to the Port's Natural History Museum, for a friendly educational outing.

Haruhi gets bored. Oops! Reality warps, and the models in the museum's exhibits come to life.

....so uh- Downtown Siren's Port? Sector 3, and lower parts of Sectors 1 and 2, including the Underground Mall?

Prepare for an influx of ancient egyptians & romans, samurai, vikings, wooly mammoths and cave men, wild land mammals and several large animated skeleton models of dinosaurs roaming your streets. To name a few.

Groundhog Day -- Corporate Throwdown

So late it isn't even funny, but as per this newsfeed there's going to be a small altercation between SERO and AGI members at the border of Sector 1 & 2. Initially, it'll just be a lot of structural damage with no casualties; whether it gets much worse or gets averted entirely is, of course, up to whether or not people choose to intervene!

Of course, there's also the chance of perfectly innocent characters just getting caught in the crossfire, or apathetic characters just chilling at the sidelines and sipping a beer. Let me know if you're planning to hop in!
