So I heard you like Eldritch abominations...
So I'll be bringing you some. Sort of. The SPN version anyway.
This is a plotting post! This event won't be starting until late November (yes, I know, great timing with finals and all) but it is totally opt-in and will be spread out a bit, and threads can be back/forward dated easily enough, so NEVER FEAR.
Massive tl;dr worth of plot details are as follows:
Basically, November 17th, Castiel will disappear from the port for a canon update. He'll return early on the 19th, and for those of you that know SPN canon, he'll be coming from 7.01. For those of you that don't, that means he's absorbed about 40 million monster souls, plus the ancient beings known as the Leviathan.
Souls give angels (and other beings) great power, and that many souls makes Castiel a literal godmode. He is insanely power, and actually quite insane too, declaring himself God in canon and crusading around Earth trying to wipe out sin and corruption in God's name. This is where the first part of the plot comes in.
From his return on November 19th to midnight on the 30th, Godstiel will be doing the same at the Port. He'll be looking for people who abuse their power, people who use God's name as justification for their actions, and people who sin in general, and wiping them out. His sense of morality, however, is more than a little skewed for several reasons, so this is a super broad range of people.
Anyone who would want their character attacked is welcome. There is no limit, though I will say that unless your character is very powerful, they will likely die in a confrontation with him. Working out ways to prevent this is totally possible but might take some work! The more casualties the better though, so anyone willing to let their characters be killed would be welcomed.
That all said, this is totally opt-in. Even if your character fits the criteria for him to attack perfectly, they can be missed for whatever reason. No one has to participate if they don't like. Godstiel is busy and, despite his own belief, not omniscient so he can easily miss people.
On the flip side, Godstiel will also work miracles. He'll heal the sick and generally be extremely benevolent to anyone he thinks is true of faith. He believes he's on a mission to be a better God than his Father, which includes both the good and the bad, and is why he's taking an active role when God in their world abandoned them. Anyone who wants to be involved in a miracle or something feel free to lemme know as well.
Midnight of the 30th/1st, however, there will be a shift. The Leviathan, who were absorbed along with the souls, have been subtly influencing Castiel's thoughts. At this time, they'll take complete control over the vessel and Castiel, and will begin their own rampage.
The Leviathan were the first beings created by God in SPNverse, and they are incredibly powerful with insatiable appetites. They'll literally eat anyone and anything, and that's what they'll be doing here. Same as with Godstiel, volunteers are needed to be gruesomely eaten, because that's what the Leviathan do.
The Leviathan, however, can be fought back against. Though even more powerful than Godstiel, they have a severe weakness, and that will be made public by Crowley: Borax works on them like Holy Water against a demon. It burns them and spraying Borax on Levistiel will give your character a chance to escape if you don't want them killed. Characters can be victims of both Godstiel and Leviastiel if you like; feel free to sign up for both. Again, signups are unlimited, and everything is opt-in. If you want your character to avoid this whole mess, don't hesitate to do so.
There is only one way to actually kill a Leviathan in SPNverse, and it requires a particularly unusual weapon. Crowley will, again, make the announcement (probably in the same post) about gathering the pieces necessary for making it. Again, we will need character volunteers for this!
The ingredients for the weapon are:
• The bone of a righteous mortal
• Blood of a fallen angel
• Blood of the father of fallen beasts
• Blood of the ruler of fallen humanity
The last two are taken care of (by a secret being and Crowley, respectively) but the former two are needed. Any sort of fallen angel from any world will do; if a PC exists that qualifies, it would be loved if they would volunteer. Only a little blood is needed.
The bone of a righteous mortal is more tricky. A righteous mortal is someone who lived/s 'free of sin'; they use a nun's bone in canon. It needs to be a big bone, like a femur, so a character willing to have a leg chopped off and then regenerated by another resident godmode could be a donator. OR, a character who has died at the Port who might be buried or something here, such a character that was dropped who would qualify, could be used perhaps at mention by a friend/former CR. If there are no volunteers an NPC will be used, but if there is someone who wants to be involved, go for it.
Once the weapon is completed, it will be used on the 6th of December, again by Crowley because he's an attention whore. However, though it will partially work, the rest of it will backfire and you'll all get a really pissed off mortal King of Hell for awhile. Feel free to make fun of him as much as you all like.
The final confrontation will be shortly after that, and the Leviathan will be killed by Chuck Shurley, for reasons that are clear to people who know SPN canon but might still be a bit secret to others. Anyway it will be dramatic blah blah blah and Castiel will die in the process.
But no, this post is still not over, and nor is the plot.
December 7th, Castiel will return to the Port at the baseball diamond, with no memory, as he does in canon. His cast and presumably his CR will attempt to hide the fact that this is Castiel for awhile, passing him off as a newcomer who happens to share a face, to avoid legal repercussions as long as possible. Obviously this won't be particularly long, and that's where the legal portion of the plot begins~
Particularly, I would love the Ace Attorney cast and the NPP members to be involved in the legal aspects, and though I have some ideas for ways to spin defenses and such (considering he was pretty much/totally possessed rather than acting of his own accord) I would leave it up to you guys who what you'd like to do as far as a trial and legal proceedings and all that. Other legal types feel free to be involved too, as well as anyone else that would have reason to be.
