How's My Driving: Con-crit & Pos-crit!

This post is for providing Constructive AND Positive feedback for fellow players regarding how they play their characters in Siren's Pull.

Constructive criticism should be just that - please avoid bashing or being rude. If you have critique for a characterization, please support it as much as possible and offer as much help as you can to the player. Remember - the point of the HMD Meme is to help fellow players, not to discourage or insult them. This goes for both giving and receiving critique.

Positive feedback is a genuine compliment or other positive aspects of how that character is played. Please avoid empty praises or general fangirling/fanboying, and try to give a viable reason that you're complimenting the fellow player - well thought out compliments always mean more, after all!

If anyone notices anything going wrong on this meme, please get hold of a mod via IM, PM, or email and let us know right away so we can deal with it appropriately.

- other players will respond with comments or compliments for your character
- reply to other posts with compliments for other players!

SEPTEMBER ACTIVITY CHECK

Hello, all! Welcome to the 32nd activity check for Siren's Pull!

The Activity Check is something that will be happening every month, just to check in with players, make sure that all the characters who've been accepted into the game are participating, and get a quick rundown of what characters are up to!

Some Activity Check guidelines:

1. Any character who fails to reply to the Activity Check will be removed from the game for inactivity, in order to free up the character for someone else who may wish to play them. You have ONE WEEK to reply to Activity Check until we post the removal list.

2. Any character listed as on hiatus on the Hiatus Page will be exempt from the Activity Check. PLEASE USE THE HIATUS PAGE!
REMINDER If you are going to be on hiatus the entire length of the Activity Check period, please check in before you leave. "Retroactive" hiatuses will not excuse you from checking in!

3. In order to apply for more than two characters you have to give a link to a completed Activity Check on your next application.

How to Pass the Activity Check

All you have to do to pass the Activity Check is post a link to one of the following that has occurred within the past 3 weeks (since August 25th):
- An entry your character has made on sirenspull
- A log in which your character has participated on sirenspull_logs
- A comment thread on sirenspull in which your character has posted 10 or more comments
- An action log in which your character has participated on sirenspull that is 5 or more comments long, total
- Note: IC Contact threads do not count towards your activity check because it is not publicly seen on the game communities.

Additionally, we'd like a short rundown of what your character is currently up to.

This doesn't have to be a long summary, just a general idea, and you're more than welcome to keep secret plots secret, so long as you give us something.

If you can't make activity check within the last three weeks there is still the seven days that AC's are open to post. This gives you four weeks in a month to post at least once.

AC closes at midnight on September 23rd. Please get your post in before then, or you will end up on the list!

Sorry for basically dropping the ball on y'all. Been dealing with some RL shit that had me teetering on whether or not I should cut my losses here, but I think everything's been settled!

After 2 years it's finally time to let go of my Victorian Doctor friend John Seward. Thank you all for making him welcome at the game here. It was my pleasure to have played with everyone here.

I'll still be around with Manfred von Karma and Pegasus, but for now I think it is time to let him go home to the era he once knew. ;;

Should it be that by chance I manage to pick him up again in December you may not have seen the last of him!

Otherwise, his effects will remain at Stoker Manor, which has been passed over to Integra Hellsing via Abraham and Uncle Sewards' living will.

He will ask humbly to be placed among the Newcomer Memorial names with Walter Dornez and Abraham van Helsing's and will donate a handsome portion of his money to the Newcomer Fund (or whatever appropriate venue there is left!) through an hand-written letter to Ms. Re-l Mayer. A small bundle of letters with instructions for them to be placed in the mail will be left on his study desk with various thank you notes to those he had close relation/CR with.

One to Integra, Seras, Re-l, Dr. Yumeno, Raphael Sorel, Godot, and anyone else that you think should be on here that isn't.
