Siren's Pull OOC

Hey folks, this your head mod, here are some general updates-

On a personal note, I'm currently out of a job due to partial building collapse (no, I'm really not kidding), GG-mod is starting a new job up soon (congrats!), so you'll be seeing a bit of variance in our usual schedules. Myself and my co-mods will keep giving Siren's Pull our best, but please bear with us patiently as we steer through some personal transitions.

Our app team has been dramatically downsized due to drops, so processing may be slightly slowed this month, though we will try our best to get to five daily, starting later this evening. We currently have 40 apps in queue, and will be accepting till May 7th (unless we hit our 100 cap.)

May arrivals will be headed HERE, so please track this post, greeters, affiliated recruiters and other welcoming parties!

With a new wave of arrivals, expect to see more of the usual reactionary Anti-Newcomer Hostility from locals. This time, companies will be funding and quietly supporting some of their activity, in hopes of driving newcomers further towards corporate protection. If you have a openly Newcomer Run Business, or just want your character targeted, drop us a comment here with some idea of their daily routine so we can figure out a dastardly way to make their lives hell. Corporate Sabotage themes will also be taking front and center soon, with a chance to both foil rivalry schemes that could have a widespread effect on the population. Wanna be a hero or a villain and get entangled with AGI or SERO, and are you willing to coordinate a minor plotline? Drop us a line here with your preferences, giving us some idea of places your character frequents, and areas they would be personally invested in. We'll be hitting your PM with more information.

We'll also be introducing new plot mid-month, focused on The Church of Jonova and a designer-disease outbreak, a 'spiritual' sickness which attacks victims with symptoms triggered by repressed feelings of Guilt. More info on that next week!

Event/plot ideas and player-run initiative are also always welcome. We love to hear your feedback, and especially look forward to seeing new widely-inclusive, open-ended and long-term things evolve. There's a lot of unexplored territory in the game information and always a window for plot devices cropping up in news, so if there are areas you'd like your characters to delve into and develop, please let us know so we can keep those foundations of the game on our radar.

At the end of this app cycle, we will be looking to add to our application team as well as select new members of our moderating team, with particular focus toward plot coordination, newsfeed, world-building and NPC play. We are looking for mature, creative players with a solid history of clean conduct, inclusive fairness, fresh ideas for game direction, and long term investment in Siren's Pull. If you are interested, please begin to keep this in mind and consider stepping up to take a bigger role in helping out. We'll be giving further information about this at a later date.
