NEWCOMER HUNT WHIPLASH PLOT UPDATE/WRAP-UP

Hey, guys; it's RW again! Just popping in to say the Newcomer Hunt Whiplash Plot is very nearly over! There's just one more victim to go, and Dani Baptiste will be the one to silence the monster as well as its reign of terror.

But first, a RECAP:

I may have missed a few things along the way, but these are the highlights I've managed to track down! If you'd like something added, just let me know. Which brings me to...

A Few Points of Interest Regarding the AFTERMATH:

- Tomorrow, as I said, will be the last day of the plot! Dani Baptiste will be attacked and manage to kill off the Heartless. She will then encounter Xigbar, in his black coat and hood, which will result in a bit of a nasty scuffle between the two. A post from Dani will be forthcoming after the fact.

- Heartless are multiplying in the Port. The population has been self-sustaining for a while now, but they'll be showing themselves more often now. If you'd like an encounter with any of these, let me know! Just remember, Heartless can only be harmed by magic of some kind. Purely physical attacks and regular weapons do not affect them.

- For you investigator types. If your character has been investigating AGI and keeping up with the newsfeeds, if you'd like to have them note the connection between the Heartless symbol and Xino E. Mao's insignia, let me know here!

- At some point, I fully expect Xigbar to be implicated in these attacks. Since there's no actual proof that he made the creature, however, he's unlikely to own it unless it suits his purposes. If you'd like CR with him or otherwise try to call him out for his terribleness, hit me up!

Hillsdale Halloween Prank Candy

Hilldale University's fall fraternity pledge class, well known for their creative prank candies, are at it again this year! They've ditched their plague doctor outfits worn in years past, and are distributing FREE candies at high traffic public locations island wide between now and October 31st. All dressed like PSY, their distribution tables are all playing THIS.

Plotting stuff for Halloween!

So, like Raul said in his last post on the network, there will be a Newcomer Political Party sponsored masquerade this coming Saturday, October 27th. After some intense debate and discussions, this ball will definitely be a Halloween costume party; catch is you need to have some kind of mask on. Pretty simple, right? The party will start at 7:00pm on Saturday, at the Newcomer Community Center, which will be dressed for the occasion, and it will go on for as long as you want. Aka, until morning siren, which is when last calls will be.

We're currently looking for a few things, though! If anyplace wants to cater this event, we'd love to have a newcomer place for that. We could also use anyone who might want to help decorate the place? If anyone feels up to playing bartender, or several bartenders. I know we have Sephiroth for security, so if your character wants to help with security, check with the mun on that.

If your character wants to help with any part of that, please let me know! And this post can also be used for plotting with costumes, things that might take place, whatever it is you might want to do during this dance! All that we ask is that any damage take place near the end of the dance, not during it. And in that regard, there might be a surprise at the end of the night. We shall see. October Activity Check Results

Characters on this list have not posted to the Activity Check for October. If your character's name is on this list, you have until Midnight, Monday, October 29th, Pacific time to make a comment here, send a PM to the mod journal or comment on the AC post with a link to your characters' activity. Characters who have not checked in will be deleted from the taken page on October 30th.

If anyone on this list is still listed as on hiatus, dropped, or if there are any other concerns, please leave a comment here so we can get it corrected. If you were on hiatus for AC week, please link to your post on the hiatus page.

Reminder! You are NOT excused from activity check if:
A. You call a "retroactive" hiatus.
B. Your hiatus is taken explicitly during AC (from the 15th to the 21st-ish).
C. You come back from hiatus in the middle of AC, OR go on hiatus midway through AC and still do not check in.

The mod team does keep track of people who are consistently on hiatus during AC week or who are not consistently checking at all. Please keep in mind: this is taken into account when you app new characters. We want you to prove you can keep up with the characters you have before you go for more.

We do not check the OOC comm for drops and hiatuses! If you are going to go on hiatus or drop a character, PLEASE make a post on the official drop/hiatus list, or else we will miss it. Please remember! We don't like making mistakes or having people on this list that don't need to be. It's not fun for us to do the extra work, and it's not fun for the people who end up here by mistake.

THIS MONTH: Characters apped this month are exempt from AC. I tried to get all of you off the list but if I missed one or two of you, please just leave a comment saying you're new and I will remove you.
