Pregnancy Meme!
This is some serious shit. Knocked up, eating for two, the rabbit done died, carrying assbabies.
So what are you gonna do now, fuckweed? Cry, celebrate, hail the glorious Lord Satan for making this mpreg possible? Any way you slice it, you have to deal with this.
What you're gonna do is reply to this post, new mother/gypsy-cursed father, with your character's name and what numbered scenarios you're open to, as follows:
0. Finding out/telling people: you just found out you're pregnant, or you're just starting to tell people. Have fun!
1-3: Trimesters: this one is easy. You're in your first, second, or third trimester. Get as specific or not as you want.
4: Overdue: jesus christ just get it out of me 8(
5: Options: you're considering Other Ways of handling this pregnancy; adoption or abortion. With adoption, this could be either at the beginning or at the end.
6: Dealer's Choice: idk go crazy.
Of course, you can have more than one number at a time in a situation, since Options and Telling People can happen any time.
What about YOU, person replying? You can roll depending on what the person you're replying to is open to, and then figure out your own situation. Here are your options:
1: YOU ARE THE FATHER: wow way to go you suck. Better step up, asshole, or we'll feed you to the Darkness.
2: Friend: time for support, shopping, and maybe awkward magic help, depending on how horrified the pregnant father is. 8|
3: Enemy: point and laugh. Do it. Or make terrible evil plots, it's up to you.
4: Dealer's Choice: yeeeaaaaaah.

[Daedalus assures him with a tired rub to his shoulders and very fond exasperation, passing along the NV.
He takes Franz's hand when they're called, and only now do the nerves catch up with him a little, biting at the inside of his cheek with excitement. It's a small room with a chair, for the sonogram exam.]

[Daedalus is reassuring, stroking his hand, and the technician gives them a look, and Daedalus turns his head so that Franz can't quite see the exchange as it happens on his face, but it could be his usual smiling gentleness that also has its charms, or it might be a stern look of authority -
Either way, there's a wary hesitation from the woman, but only for a moment - she turns the work over and goes to adjust the monitor, grateful pleasantries exchanged as Daedalus too happily applies a coating of the gel over Franz 's swelling belly, and there's so much blur of professsional and personal lines here that he 's barely thinking about, all wistful in the face and wondering at the changes to his body.]

That's better. [He smiles a little.]
Thank you. [He murmurs quietly, though it's not clear if it's addressing the attendant or Daedalus, possibly both.]

Now we're only going to apply a bit of pressure, and it's like a little game of hunting, actually, because the fetus will still be so small. You've seen the pictures of what they typically look like by now, so you know exactly what we'll see, but the baby could be at an odd angle, so-
... In Romdeau things were a little easier on us.
[He admits, smiling, but would rather have it be like this than any 24 hour window on a mechanical womb.]
Just tell me if you feel anything strange, or if you hurt.

If they were anywhere but Siren's Port, he might consider himself an abomination. He is glad for Daedalus's guidance, here.]
It tickles, but it doesn't hurt...
[Franz's gaze is finally torn from Daedalus to watch the screen.] Is that...?
no subject
See, yes! [He points out with pleasure, and can't even contain the strong, funny feeling welling up in his chest.] There's the head, and right now I know it seems a lot bigger than it should, compared to the body, but the brain needs plenty of development time- See look? It's in profile- and there's a little nose!

Hello there, little one.

[Daedalus breathes, also transfixed on the screen, only barely aware that his eyes are brimming wet until he has to blink the blur of it away.]
Oh Franz, just look....
no subject
Against all odds, we made that... [Seeing Daedalus - who is made uncomfortable by fits of emotion, who cringes at tears, brim up, gets him going too. He sniffles.]
Totally unbelievable.

[He agrees softly, whispering, his face absolutely transported with wonder. Daedalus leans a little into his touch, adjusting for a slightly better angle.]
...aren't you excited for it now?
no subject
Can you tell if it's a boy or a girl?
no subject
That looks like a girl, to me! It's kinda hard to tell from this angle. The amniocentesis will be far more accurate.

The potential complications are still... concerning, but what they sees looks healthy, most importantly, and the fluid sample later should confirm up everything else he needs to know in order to prepare.
Let Franz fuss over nursery planning. They'll narrow down their names. They have time. There's still so much time and yet time keeps racing on them.
He strokes his thumb at Franz's hand, letting go of the breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.]
Yes. Yes, she is...
no subject
God, this is. I don't know. [There are still tears in his eyes, his face is read, threatening, but they don't fall.]
Is she going to be okay with us?
no subject
[As for raising her, well... Daedalus is surprisingly calm, surprisingly ready for that, and thrilled at the prospect. How to raise a child for success in Siren's Port might be a lot different than tailoring a child to their raison d'etre in Romdeau, but for Daedalus, that sounds like the very finest sort of adventure to embark upon with Franz. He's thrilled at the idea of sleepless nights and development diaries and fathering. It's the pregnancy, and the potential for complications that keeps him up at night.
He bends until his face is at level with Franz's, and he sounds the desperate kind of sincere that's carried them all the way through this so far.]
I will do everything, everything I can to make sure she's going to be absolutely perfect with us.
